Halloween at Baguio

Christmas is fast approaching which only means one thing for me and my family. Baguio!!! But this year, we decided to spend our halloween at Baguio as well. I don't know about you guys but when I'm at Baguio, it feels as if I'm out of the country especially because of the weather it has. I don't have a sembreak because I go into a trimestral school. Because I was too excited to pack my clothes and feel the cold weather, I skipped my thursday and friday class and claimed my own break. Hahahaha shhhh. No more a lot of talking  typing, let's fast forward to my trip.

We left Pampanga at 12pm and got there at around 3pm. I was really surprised because in the past, it took us 4-6 hours depending on the traffic to get to Baguio. But because of the newly opened road TPLEX, going to Baguio is so much easier! Yay PNoy!

We always stay at Baguio Country Club because my Lola loves it here so much like we do and it feels like home for us. :) We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights.

Because it's Halloween, people working at BCC are trick or treat ready as well. Walking dead ang peg.

We first went to Burnham Park and strolled around. It actually felt good walking around the park because it brought back a lot of my childhood memories. Isn't it sad that today, kids are just staring at their iPads or gadgets instead of running around and riding bikes and the like? The generation today is so different from before and I miss it.

We stayed at the park for an hour or two and just enjoyed the cold weather. I was very happy because finally, I was able to try the Birks + Socks combo! Surprisingly, it felt really comfy!

Shirt Dress: Forever21, Knee-high socks: American Apparel, Bag: F&F, and a black scarf

I thank Ayala for creating the Ayala Techno Hub. It is located near Camp John Hay and this may I say is the best hang out spot near our hotel and there are a lot of restaurants and food chains like Army Navy, Seafood Island, YellowCab and a lot moooooooore.

We ended our night at Choco-late de Batirol. It's one of the places to definitely go when visiting at Baguio. Their cholate batirol is just so good and the ambiance is so heavenly.

Here is my annoying roommate. My sister. Hahaha joke lang cat! Of course, mirror selfies!!!

- END OF DAY 1 -

Day 2 begins, this day was very chill because we just went around Baguio again.
Breakfast @ BCC

More selfies!!!!

OOTD

We first went to Mines View and just walked around. The place changed around compared to before. The way going down the area was renovated to make it easier for the people to go up and down.

We discovered something new at Baguio. It's the Ketchup Community where 5 restaurants with different cuisines are being served. If you  happen to be around the area, I suggest you guys to try it! The food is amazing. It is located along Romulo Drive near the Wright Park.

Because it's all saints day, we attended mass at the Cathedral of Baguio and thank the Lord for all the blessings He has given us. Also, I thanked Him for always letting our loved ones in heaven watch over us all the time. :)

That wraps up my Halloween trip! We didn't do much at Baguio, it was just really a time to relax and bond. I thank my Mom for everything that she has done for me and my sister. I know this is so random but thank you, Mama. Thank you for providing and supporting us with everything that we do. I know that sometimes life hits you hard which I know is unfair. But always remember that I will always be here for you no matter what and I know God will too. Love you!

Thank you Baguio for an awesome stay! I'll see you on December!

Good Deals and a day with my BFF!

Last week, my bestfriend (Charmaine Salonga) texted me and was asking for help for her outfit on their induction night which was held last night at the Lewis Grand Hotel, Clark. I gave her sample pegs so that she will have an idea on what style I would like her to wear. We then met sunday morning at SM Pampanga and looked around the department store. The TGW section has some good deals and cool outfits in store so we checked it out.

Here is the final outfit on Maine. I'm very happy that it fit her so well and the peg we were going for was achieved!
Heels from SM Parisian (roughly P899)

Top from SM Department Store (around P549), Skirt from Mags (around P800)

Here's her final look at the event itself! I was supposed to do her hair and make up as well but because I have class during fridays, I was not able to make it! :((( Bawi soon!

That's it you guys! I hope you liked it. See? There's some pretty good deals at SM Department too! You just have to be very patient in  looking for the right pieces. Their clothing are of really good quality which is a +! I really had fun styling her and I would love to do it again. Anyway, I'll see you guys on my next post! Laters!

MUOTD

The rain won't let me shoot outside so here I am, doing my make up of the day! Here's a simple make up that is very appropriate especially if you are living in the Philippines (because ya know, it's not like we can wear make up for minutes hours and not get SUPER oily T_T) and hey! keeping it simple is still the best.

Make up of the day = MUOTD

If you guys are interested on what products I used, here they are:

Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser
(Primer)
This primer does a great job at erasing my pores. I recommend you to not skip this step because this will hold things in place.

POND'S BB Cream
This may I say, is a new favourite of mine. It's actually my first time trying it and man! It does a great job at making my skin look flawless and natural. I highly recommend you guys to try this.

Eyebrow Shadow
a look won't be complete without doing your brows!

ELF Black Eyeshadow
I used a black eyeshadow as a substitute for eyeliner and smudged it. this will add definition to the eyes.

MAC Mascara
I love love love putting mascara on my lashes because this is actually the secret of this look.

Benefit's Benetint, MAC Highlighter, Carmex Balm
For my blush, I used Benefit's Benetint and placed a bit of highlighter above my cheekbones. I also prepped my lips before applying everything.

I finished this look using a brown lipstick from ELF's lip pallet.

That is it you guys, I hope you liked it! A simple make up can go a long way. Goodluck and stay safe everyone. Laters!

A sneak peek about me

Hey there! Welcome to my blog. So here I am again, starting all over. Let me introduce myself, I'm Caitlin C. Canlas, 19 years old from Pampanga. I'm currently in my junior year at De La Salle - College of St. Benilde taking up BSBA - Export Management. This will be a lifestyle, beauty, and fashion blog. I have been wanting to create my blog for the longest time now and it's only now that I had the guts to do it.

I really love fashion. I know, I know.. Benilde has really good fashion courses. So why didn't I take up fashion instead? Well, I actually would like to learn about business first before incorporating it with fashion. In that way, I would be open-minded and would know the basics in the business world. After graduating, I am planning on going to Los Angeles and study fashion at FIDM. Yay! I'll be posting a lot more about that as we go on.

This is me channeling my inner blogger self haha

What do you guys think of today's outfit? laters!
